I AM DEAD


"I Am Dead is a charming puzzle adventure game from the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse about exploring the afterlife."


I had a great time working with Hollow Ponds on I Am Dead as one of the 3D artists adapting Richard Hogg's lovely 2D art style into 3D. I worked as an environment & prop artist, making many of the buildings, plants and knickknaks in the game.



Sculpture Park


The sculpture park had me make lots of trees, bushes, and sculptures. I made lots of interesting insides for these.


Campsite


For the campsite, I made tents, kayaks, and lots of little bits of camping gear. One challenge was to add lighting directly to the model colours.

Slicing


Because players can slice inside any object, we had to also model an object's interiors. It was a lot of fun watching MRI footage and going through diagrams to work out how things look inside. It also required a bit of 3D modelling unlearning, now I couldn't have any overlapping meshes.


I had a lot of fun making these insides.
